Gefangen Self Reflections 1551 About CV
Ongoing photographic project, 2025–
Belonging is a fundamental human need.
But how does it feel when one carries a sense of rootlessness?
This project explores the experience of living between places, languages, and identities. Taking migration as a lasting condition rather than a single act of movement, it examines belonging as both personal and inherited. The pain of leaving one place and establishing oneself in another is approached as open nerve endings: a persistent loss of footing, but also a potential site of transformation.
Through personal and collective voices, articulated through people, landscape, and history, the project does not seek definitive answers, but rather spaces for recognition and shared experience.
